In the Unit 1 folder, there are two documents titled "Ratios and Proportions Activity" and "Big-Bucks 2015." Choose one of them to do.
For Big Bucks, students need to print out and complete both pages of the assignment.
For the Ratios page, please read through the entire activity. Students need to write out and TYPE at least five paragraph story. "The story needs to have at least an introduction paragraph, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The story needs to be written in a manner as if they were shrunk down to one foot tall. They also need to include at least 7 items from the worksheet into their story. (Most students enjoyed this activity and worked well with some monitoring. Most stories mirrored the math abilities of the students. Some students included their own test using their measurements at the end of the story. Some students also drew pictures to illustrate their stories."
This is worth 15 points extra credit.
The course syllabus is located at the bottom of this page in the files category. Your 2nd assignment is to read, print, sign, and return the necessary portion of the syllabus back to Mr. Petta. It is available in Word format as well as a PDF.
